Welcome!

Hello All!!

Thanks so much for stopping by my page! I figured I’d share a little bit about myself on this first post. I worked as a school-based and pediatric speech-language pathologist for over 18 years before beginning my journey in a special education PhD program. I have always loved working with students, collaborating with other professionals, and creating my own materials. Often, I created my own materials out of pure necessity, which led to the creation of my Teacher Pay Teacher Store and later my Boom Learning Store.

My journey as a special education PhD student has also grown my knowledge and passion in research, evidence-based practices, and providing all students with equitable, quality educational experiences to positively impact academic and behavioral outcomes. My experiences as an SLP and my journey through my PhD program influences and informs the creation of my TPT and Boom materials and will influence and inform my blog posts :-).

In this blog I’ll be chatting with you all about speech and language tips and tricks, practices and strategies for students with disabilities particularly in the are of behavior and equitable, culturally relevant instructional practices.

I’m so excited to begin this journey and I’m so glad you’re here to join me!
